Are you reaching the unchurched?
Does the average person in your fellowship share the life changing power of our Lord?
Most Evangelical Denominations claim that there was a time in their history that they were reaching more people for Christ than were born to their church families. Today they admit that they are not even reaching the number equivalent to the children born to their church families. BeeHive Evangelism is a church-based organization dedicated to guiding Christians in reaching the unchurched, through personal and member evangelism. | ![]() |
Reaching the unchurched; not someone else's members.
About ten years ago George Hunter suggested that there were 120,000,000 Americans over age fourteen who had a secular mindset. He also said the secular mind set is the fastest growing membergroup in the western world. Today that number far exceeds those stats. That number is closer to two out of every three people we meet. If we don’t learn how to effectually introduce these secular people to Jesus then a large number of people will miss heaven.
Our traditional outreach methods that have worked so effectively in the past may still be effective if our community or the people we are talking to are from a Judo-Christian culture. As a whole America is no longer a Christian culture and the traditional methods are not effective with the unchurched secular person.
There are several reasons why our traditional methods are not effective. We call it the ABC’s of tradition failure.
Abnormality:
Most church members, even strong ones, feel very uncomfortable with the traditional approach for they feel it is a car sales approach toward sharing Christ. It feels false to them. BeeHive Evangelism feels very natural to those who use it.
Backwards Appraoch:
Traditionally, the emphasis is upon the church rather than Jesus who established the church. Its members felt they were to invite the prospect to come to church. What we haven’t acknowledged is that secular people have a basic distrust of all institutions and organizations. BeeHive Evangelism stresses the fellowship of the Divine Family.
Cultural Change:
America has gone through a dramatic culture change over the last 25 years. In fact America’s traditional values are coming apart at the seams. Today’s citizens feel that all religious viewpoints are equally valid. The secular mind does not look to the church for its underlying rules of conduct, moral behavior, or as a source of meaning in life. BeeHive Evangelism allows God to attract people to himself.
The Uniqueness of BeeHive Evangekisum:
It addresses the spiritual deficiencies of the secular mindset:
Their insufficient concept of God
Their incorrect view of sin
Their sense of disconnectedness
Their lack of self worth
Their distrust of institutions and organizations
Their realization of the need for emotional,
philosophical and spiritual stability
Their sincere search for spirituality
It is not a theory; rather, it is cut out in the laboratory of life. BeeHive Evangelism is used in the two churches Dub Chambers pastors. In 1998, 14 Christians shared the gospel with over 5000 people.
Leadership Training
There is available a three day (12 hour) training clinic for pastors and/or laypersons. They will be certified to train their own church family in BeeHive Evangelism. They will receive a CD and the necessary material to equip fellow believers.
Our dream is that you will leave with:
- Your heart so captivated by what God is doing that you will turn the controls of your life over to him.
- A love for the cause of Christ that captures your imagination.
- A better insight on God’s activity in your life and how to use those experiences in creating God-consciousness in the minds of secular people.
- A handle on how to use God-coincidences, yours and those of the secular person, in helping them see that God is involved in their lives.
- A clearer understanding of who secular people are and the most effective way to introduce them to Jesus.
- A better understanding of how to work with the Holy Spirit when introducing secular people to Jesus.
- Sharpened skills in introducing secular people to Christ.
